ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — The U.S. Coast Guard will hold a family-friendly event to display its capabilities and potential career opportunities at Schwiebert Riverfront Park on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
"Mission Mighty Mississippi" will feature interactive displays with Coast Guard equipment and crewmembers. These include MH-65 Dolphin helicopters, response boats, K-9 and marksmanship units, search and rescue, a video game tournament and a cooking demonstration.
The event is free to the public, who are welcomed to speak with Coast Guard members.
