ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — On Sunday, May 19, the Rock Island Parks and Recreation Department will host the new Spring Market Fest from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Spring Market Fest is free to attend and is inspired by the success of the Fall Market Fest. The Spring Fest features more than 40 vendors showcasing different crafts and goods, vintage wares, unique gifts, candles, soaps, sweets, jewelry, apparel, accessories and more for everyone to enjoy at the Schwiebert Riverfront Park.

“After the overwhelming success of our Fall Market Fest, we couldn’t resist expanding our offerings to include a spring shopping experience,” said Dan Gleason, special events and fundraising manager. “The enthusiasm from both vendors and attendees has been inspiring. We’re looking forward to creating another memorable day in the park filled with spring and summer treasures for everyone to enjoy.”

Some of the food concessions options include Wolfe It Down Pizza and grilled delights from the Parks Department. Cool Beanz and Bent River Brewing Company will have drinks available for purchase.
