Sharing events throughout the Quad Cities in this week's weekend rundown: Nov. 3 to Nov. 5

There are many family-friendly events going on this weekend, and we've brought in Dani Howe from WLLR to break it down.

MOLINE, Ill. — The weekend is officially here, and WQAD and WLLR have your top events to check out for Nov. 3 to Nov. 5.

Good Morning Quad Cities' David Bohlman and Devin Brooks were joined by WLLR's Dani Howe Thursday morning to go over the must-see events.

Here's your rundown:

Freight House Farmers Market Fall Fest

Location: Freight House Famers Market, 421 W. River Dr., Davenport
Dates and Times: Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 4 to Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Freight House Farmers Market is ending out this season with a family-friendly fall festival on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 3 and 4. Head over to the riverfront in Davenport for food, shopping and live music from local vendors. 

Moline Special Olympics Basketball Tournament

Location: Moline High School, 3600 Avenue of the Cities, Moline
Date and Time: Saturday, Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. to noon 

Moline High School Special Olympics is putting on its fall classic basketball tournament with teams from the Illinois side of the Quad Cities playing against each other. The Mini Maroons and Junior Maroons Special Olympics Teams will be hosting a bake sale and raffle as well to raise fund for their Unified Sports Program. It will take place in the P.E. Facility at Moline High School. 

Veterans Memorial Park Ribbon Cutting

Location: Veterans Memorial Park, 315 S. Marquette St., Davenport
Date and Time: Occurred Thursday, Nov. 2 at 10:30 a.m. 

The City of Davenport hosted a ribbon cutting Thursday to conclude Phase Two of constructing Veterans Memorial Park along the riverfront. City leaders including Mayor Mike Matson and Parks and Recreation Director Chad Dyson spoke at the event. While the ribbon cutting is over, the new additions to the park are now available to the public.

Orion Fire Department Pancake Breakfast

Location: Orion Fire Station, 501 11th Ave, Orion
Date and Time: Sunday, Nov. 5 from 7 a.m. to noon

The fire department in the Village of Orion will be hosting a pancake breakfast on Sunday, Nov. 5 at the station. Food will include sausages, eggs, orange juice, and of course, pancakes. There will also be raffle prizes for adults and children.
