Holiday special weekend rundown with WLLR | Dec. 22-24

There are many family-friendly events going on this weekend, and we've brought in Dani Howe from WLLR to break it down.

MOLINE, Ill. — The weekend is officially here, and WQAD and WLLR have your top events to check out for Dec. 22 to 24.

Good Morning Quad Cities' David Bohlman and Charles Hart were joined by WLLR's Dani Howe Thursday morning to go over this weekend's must-see events.

Here's the full rundown:

Clock Inc.'s Clocksmas

Clock Inc. in Rock Island is bringing back its annual Christmas party "Clocksmas."

Festivities include a warm meal and a white elephant gift exchange, any attendees are encouraged to bring a dessert to the gathering.

The party begins at 5 p.m. and will last until 8 p.m. at Clock Inc.'s community center. Registration for the event is required and can be found here.

Sonya Brown's annual Christmas meal

Faith Walk World Outreach Center in Silvis is hosting its Sonya Brown Christmas dinner for the 12th year.

You can grab a meal early at 11 a.m. on Christmas Day at the church just off Avenue of the Cities until 12:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend the event.

Holiday Movie Specials

The Putnam Museum and The Last Picture House will each be featuring holiday classics.

For some holiday fun, The Last Picture House will show "The Santa Clause" on Dec. 23 and 24. Advanced tickets can be purchased online or in person.

The Putnam Museum will be showing Disney's live-animated version of "A Christmas Carol" on Dec. 22 at 2:30 p.m., and on Dec. 23 at 5 p.m. Tickets for these showings can be purchased online or on the day of the show.
