City of Bettendorf holding a State of the City Address in February

Mayor Robert Gallagher will give an update on the city's long-term goals on Feb. 21.

BETTENDORF, Iowa — The city of Bettendorf is inviting residents to the annual State of the City Address by Mayor Robert Gallagher on Feb. 21 at the Waterfront Convention Center.

According to a news release, Mayor Gallagher will give an update on how Bettendorf is achieving its long-term goals, which are:

  1. Remain a financially sound city that provides quality city services
  2. Have orderly growth and quality development
  3. Support riverfront/downtown development to create a destination for entertainment and living
  4. Grow current businesses and attract new businesses
  5. Be a premier place to live in the Quad Cities

Gallagher will give updates on these goals starting at 12:15 p.m. Doors open at 11 a.m., followed by a lunch at 12:30 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. Lunch is optional and costs $15, which can be prepaid online on the city website or paid for at the door.
