BETTENDORF, Iowa — With the 4th of July less than two months away, the City of Bettendorf has unveiled their plans for Independence Day events.
4th of July Parade
The annual parade will start at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 4 at the intersection of 23rd Street going east on State Street and ending at 21st Street.
Anybody interested in participating in this year's parade click/tap here. Entry fee is $20 until Sunday, June 23 with limited spots available.
Nominations for the parade's Grand Marshal are open until June 9. Nominees must be a current resident, a long-time past resident, or have brought some distinction to the City. Nominations can be mailed to Community Engagement Manager Angie Sharp at City Hall or email to asharp@bettendorf.org.
4th of July Festival
Starting at noon on Thursday, July 4 at Spruce Hills Drive, the City's festival will have live music on two stages, kid-friendly activities, food/craft vendors, free ice cream provided by the City Council and City Department Heads, a free performance by the Bettendorf Community Band at Veterans Memorial Park and more.

Spruce Hills Drive will be closed from 18th Street to Cumberland Square Drive July 3-5. Access to Cumberland Square businesses will be open on Spruce Hills Drive near Azteca on 18th Street.
4th of July Fireworks
4th of July fireworks will spark at dusk at Middle Park.
Due to ongoing construction of The Landing, there are places in Middle Park that are off-limits and may impact where enjoyers usually park and/or watch the fireworks.
