DES MOINES, Iowa — TidalWave Comics recently announced the addition of a familiar face in the latest installment of their "Female Force" series, which highlights inspiring women.
WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark's comic book will begin appearing on shelves this week as the Portland, OR based TidalWave says the comic "brings a fresh, energetic perspective to the series."
Author Michael Frizell says writing the comic about Clark's life was incredibly rewarding, adding that "Her passion, drive and love for the game really resonated with me, making the process feel both personal and exciting."
The comic will be 22 pages long, available in both print and digital formats, and show the story of Clark's rise to fame, starting from her youth in Iowa and building through her record-breaking rookie season in the WNBA.
In the future, TidalWave plans to add more WNBA player-focused comics, including Angel Reese. The other comics in their lineup cover other influential female leaders, from business leaders to politicians.
