MOLINE, Ill. — Jacob Mundy joined the Good Morning Quad Cities Team in July of 2022 as an Editor/Photojournalist.

Since his first glimpse into the world of storytelling through both cinema and music during his childhood, he’s always known that storytelling would be a crucial part of his life. Becoming inspired by the power of the medium, Jacob attended the Black Hawk College East Campus to obtain his associate's in arts degree, graduating in July 2019. Following his graduation, he enrolled at Macomb’s Western Illinois University. During his time there, he studied broadcast production along with his music business minor to further explore the world of storytelling.

Following his graduation from Western Illinois University in May of 2021, Jacob decided to become a storyteller himself and move to the Quad Cities. Although Jacob has been a town boy for most of his life, he’s found great solace in the opportunity to build his capabilities as a storyteller in the QC. Jacob first built the foundation of what he considers to be his path in life at a nearby locally owned broadcasting company before the opportunity to expand his storytelling capabilities presented itself at WQAD.

In his downtime, he enjoys a variety of activities from going to the movie theater and concerts, hiking outdoors, exploring amusement parks, listening to music, and playing the guitar. He is an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan and loves to attend games live games whenever possible. Most importantly, he enjoys being in the company of his beloved family and friends.
