DAVENPORT, Iowa — Get ready to game!
Hundreds of esports players are gearing up to descend on the Putnam Museum and Science Center in Davenport for a two-day tournament December 2-3. Nearly 350 players from 20 different states are already registered.
It's the inaugural two-day event for Honeypot, a regional grassroots fighting game community tournament series. Esports tournament management group Run it Down is hosting "Honeypot 6: Winter is Coming" in collaboration with Visit Quad Cities.

Prize pool minimums start at $1,000. Players will be competing across multiple games including Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat 1, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 and more.
There will also be opportunities for visitors to interact with their favorite players and participate in giveaways.
"Bringing Honeypot 6 to the Quad Cities is a celebration of skill, passion, and the vibrant esports culture," said Albert Rassavong, lead event organizer of Run it Down.

Spectators can catch all the gameplay action live at the Putnam Museum, stream it through Quad Cities Esports, UGS Gamin, VQ Bootcamp or on Twitch by searching Honeypot 6. Fans can also join the social media conversation using the hashtag #Honeypot6.
