DAVENPORT, Iowa- The (unofficial) results are in.
The polls closed at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 8.
Alderman Mike Matson easily moves on to the November ballot with 33% of the vote.
Alderman Rita Rawson and businessman Dan Portes will move on but are set apart by just eight votes with all the ballots counted.
If this vote is confirmed when the elections are verified, Rita Rawson would be Matson's challenger for Mayor. Portes is just nine votes from declaring victory if the official ballot count gives him more votes.
Elizabeth Vancamp, Steve Duffy, and Dean Weber did not get enough votes to move on to the November general election.

As for the city council, 13 candidates were running for three Davenport aldermen races. Only six of them move on to the November elections.
In the Third Ward, incumbent Marion Meginnis will face businessman Phil Armer of Armer Boxing in November.

Meginnis got 65% of the vote tonight and Armer got 18%.
In the Fourth ward incumbent Ray Ambrose also had opposition. He will face Jeffrey Bass in November.
Ambrose got 58% of the vote and bass got 21%.

Matthew Dohrman and Kristi Miller will go head to head next month. Dohrman took 31% of the vote and Miller finished with 24%.
