DIXON, Illinois — Police are trying to figure out who spray painted the inside of a concession stand building at a park in Dixon.

The vandalism was reported at Meadows Park around 7 p.m. Saturday, September 14.   Police said one or more people got in and painted things like chairs, desks, a grill, and a water heater.  Photos from the scene show that the floors were also painted.

The building is typically open for soccer events and is used for concessions and storage. Police said the paint that was used in the vandalism is kept in the room;  it’s used to paint the soccer field lines.

Police said there was no forced entry, so it is believed that a volunteer left the door unlocked after leaving for the day.

Authorities are working to get surveillance video from the Water Wonderland Splash Pad, a nearby water park.  If you have any information you are asked to call 815-288-4411.
