Three people arrested after woman gets shot in LeClaire

UPDATE 9:30 a.m. (7/4)-- Three people have been arrested after a woman was shot in rural LeClaire.

The Scott County Sheriff's Office reports Jose Enriquez, Edgar Aguilar, and Leobardo Enriquez are charged with reckless use of a firearm.

Leaders say a call went out around 2:30 a.m. Thursday, July 4, for a woman that had been shot in the leg, inside her home. It happened in the 21,000 block of 235th Avenue. Responding officers say they heard gunfire as they arrived and made the arrests after a traffic stop near the home.

Investigators say the woman was taken to the hospital, but her condition is not being released.

ORIGINAL STORY 6:59 a.m. (7/4): LECLAIRE, Iowa-- Crews responded to the 21000 block of 235th Avenue Thursday, July 4th after a person was shot in the leg.

The home is located north of I-80. No word on the victim's condition early Thursday morning. The Scott County Communication's Center says crews were still on the scene after 3 a.m.
