MACOMB, Ill. (AP) — A new program at Western Illinois University will let agriculture students get a graduate degree quicker.

A news release from the Macomb school says the option for a Master of Business Administration in ag business will be available in the fall. WIU School of Agriculture director Andy Baker says undergraduate students will be able to earn the degree in one year.

College of Business and Technology academic adviser Ember Keithley says students will be able to use two classes for both their undergraduate and graduate degree. That means they’ll be able to complete both degrees in five years. Undergraduate agriculture students will have to meet certain requirements.

Agriculture is one of the top majors at the university where over 6,000 graduate and undergraduate students attend.
