CARBON CLIFF- A child was airlifted to an Iowa hospital after being run over by a lawnmower.
According to the Rock Island sheriff, May 15, around 3:30 p.m. a 2-year-old boy was backed over by a riding lawnmower.
Early reports indicate the child's leg was severely injured and possibly severed. The Rock Island County Sheriff's Office later confirmed that the boy's injuries were not life-threatening. As of Friday, May 17 there was no word on his condition.
The child was transported from the scene via medical helicopter.
