Sylvan Island bridge closed

MOLINE, Illinois- Officials have announced the closure of Sylvan Island.

On Monday, April 29 Sylvan Island, located at 2nd Street and 1st Avenue, including the bridge onto the island, have been closed due to rising river levels. Most of the hiking and biking trials throughout the island are now covered in water making it difficult to get around the island safely.
