ELDRIDGE, Iowa -- Two teenagers are suspected of robbing an Eldridge convenience store with Air Soft guns.
The robbery happened shortly before 10 p.m. at the Eldridge Mart on LeClaire Road, according to Eldridge Police Chief David M. Kopatich.
Chief Kopatich said two white males went into the store with "rifle-type weapons and demanded money." The two then ran off on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. The weapons were found near the store and turned out to be Air Soft guns.
The search of an apartment complex in Parkview, Iowa on Tuesday led investigators to two teenagers, a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old, said Chief Kopatich. Both teens were taken into custody and charged with one count of second-degree robbery.
The 15-year-old was held at the Scott County Juvenile Detention Center and the 17-year-old was held at the Scott County Jail.
There were no reported injuries.
