ROCK ISLAND, Illinois -- A former employee of the Rock Island County Treasurer's Office is accused of stealing money from the department.
According to court documents, Carolyn Kerr is facing a felony theft charge.
A prosecutor said she was accused of taking $8,800 from the department. Kerr allegedly altered deposit slips and took cash about a dozen times between July and November of 2018.
Kerr turned herself in in November, according to the prosecutor. She could face between three and seven years in prison.
