DAVENPORT, Iowa -- A house is considered uninhabitable after a fire in Davenport.
Around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, February 21, firefighters say a fire broke out in a second-floor bedroom of a house on the 500 block of East 7th street. City officials said the home was built in 1880 and is currently used as a single-family rental home.
No one was home at the time and firefighters have extinguished the fire.
They were searching for hot spots Thursday night.
Damages are estimated at $20,000 included an additional $5,000 for loss of its contents. It's considered uninhabitable.
They also don't know yet what caused the fire.
