DAVENPORT, Iowa -- A semi and a box truck collided near Interstate 80 and Northwest Boulevard, impacting traffic Thursday morning, February 7.
The crash happened around 8:10 a.m., according to the Davenport Police Department. A semi that was headed south on Northwest Blvd. toward I-80 when it changed lanes and hit a box truck. The box truck rolled onto its side and into a ditch. The box truck did not block traffic.
The Davenport Fire Department helped get the driver out of the truck. The driver was treated on scene but did not request any further medical attention.
HazMat was also called to the scene to assist with the incident to check on an oil leak.
The driver of the semi was cited for an improper lane change, police said.
