Train derailed in McDonough County containing isopropyl alcohol

MCDONOUGH COUNTY, Illinois- Authorities were on the scene responding to a train derailment nine miles east of Macomb. Reports came in around 5:45 p.m. Sunday, January 13th about a train derailing in McDonough County.

A sheriff deputy says the Burlington Northern train came off the tracks between Table Grove, Illinois and Adair along IL-136. Illinois State Police officers say the train was pulling tank cars containing isopropyl alcohol.

KHQA reports multiple fire departments and the McDonough County Sheriff are investigating.  No word word if anyone was hurt or what caused the accident.
