LECLAIRE, Iowa -- Two people were arrested at Casey's General Store in connection with a credit card forgery investigation.
The investigation started when a someone was reported using a credit card that was believed to be stolen at the Casey's in Princeton, according to a statement from the Scott County Sheriff's Department. It was reported Thursday morning, January 3.
Authorities were able to find the vehicle in question at the Casey's parking lot in LeClaire, read the statement. Several agencies responded.
Four people in the suspect vehicle were being investigated, according to a spokesperson with the Scott County Sheriff's Department.
The sheriff's statement said an officer suffered a minor injury trying to detain the people in the car because they were "not cooperative with responding units."
"While attempting to detain the four subjects, officers and deputies had to go hands-on with two of the subjects to gain compliance," read the statement.
The sheriff's department said the other two were "detained without further incident."
Two 24-year-old men were arrested in relation to the investigation: Kenneth J. Brown, from Thornton, Illinois and Nicko Grayson, from Chicago. According to the statement, Brown was charged with harassment of a public official and interference with official acts with injury. Grayson was charged with forgery.
