ROCK ISLAND, Illinois -- Rock Island Police responded to a crash just before 5:00 p.m. on January 1, 2019.
The accident happened at the intersection of 7th avenue and 30th street, right near the Wheelan Pressly Funeral Home. Both vehicles were heavily damaged from the impact of the crash.
According to arrest reports, Michael J. Chaney was arrested after the crash. He was charged with aggravated reckless driving and leaving the scene of an injury crash.
On Friday, January 4, police confirmed that Chaney sustained minor injuries in the crash. A female in the other vehicle involved in the crash suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.
