DAVENPORT, Iowa -- The Village Inn on Brady Street in Davenport is permanently closed, according to a sign on their building.
A sign on the building Monday, December 31 announced the permanent closure and listed other Village Inn locations for diners to visit.
"After very careful consideration, we have made the tough but necessary decision to discontinue operations at this location," said a Village Inn spokesman in a press release.
"This is never an easy decision to make and one driven by many business factors. It is important to note that all employees who desire to stay with the company will be relocated to another location in the market or will be provided a parting severance package," the spokesman said.
WQAD News 8 called the restaurant and the press release contact to find out what prompted the closure. There was no answer.
