Robber gets away with cash from Davenport bank

A bank was robbed by a suspect who implied he had a weapon, according to police.

DAVENPORT, Iowa -- A bank was robbed by a suspect who implied he had a weapon, according to police.

Davenport police were called to Wells Fargo on Main Street for a reported robbery shortly after 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 4.

"The suspect entered the bank and implied a weapon," said a statement from the City of Davenport. "He fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash."

The suspect is described a black male wearing a black puffy coat, "skinny" style black sweat pants and black Sketcher shoes with large white soles.  He was about 5-feet, 9-inches tall, weighing about 200 pounds.

There were no reported injuries.
