ARSENAL ISLAND -- Hazmat was called after a chemical leaked on Arsenal Island.
It happened late Wednesday morning, November 7 at the wastewater treatment plant, according to public affairs spokesperson Debra Lee Best. A valve leaked, causing deoxidizer to spill out.
The chemical was cleaned up within about an hour.
There were no injuries reported.
