I-74 BRIDGE, Iowa — A crash on the I-74 bridge heading into Iowa created a major back-up in Moline today as drivers hit the road for their morning commute.
Both lanes of traffic were back open as of 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20. However, traffic was congested for over an hour as what appeared to be a minor crash stopped up over a mile of traffic.
This comes right after several accidents slowed traffic yesterday, Sept. 19.
The accident happened just before 7:00 a.m. today near the State Street off ramp in Bettendorf.
As of 7:17 a.m., traffic was backed up to 12th Avenue in Moline.
By 7:55 a.m., vehicles were delayed all the way from the I-74 bridge back to Avenue of the Cities.
One lane is open after a crash temporarily closed down both lanes this morning.
