The Knox County health department will provide the "low-income home energy assistance program" commonly known as LIHEAP.
The department will start taking applications in about three weeks, for seniors and people with disabilities.
The previous provider, Carver Community Action Agency, was suspended in November, after being accused of mismanaging funds. It's not clear whether formal charges were filed.
