Update: Power has been restored to the majority of homes affected in Davenport and Bettendorf earlier today.

However, some residents in Davenport and Rock Island County are still facing power loss, according to this map. The map is updated every ten minutes.

According to Mid-American Energy, the earlier power outage was a result of equipment failure. It is unknown at this time if the failure was a result of the heat. No one has reported heat-related health problems due to the power outage at this time.
