Kewanee teen found guilty of slashing puppy’s throat

Damien Ingram was found guilty on charges of aggravated animal cruelty and animal torture.

CAMBRIDGE, Illinois -- A Kewanee teenager has been found guilty of slashing a puppy's throat.

Damien Ingram was found guilty on charges of aggravated animal cruelty and animal torture in Henry County Court Thursday, March 8th.

It happened in July of 2017; Ingram was 17 at the time.  In October juvenile court judge ruled in favor of trying Ingram in adult court.

The puppy, named Thor, has made a full recovery and will be adopted by one of the caregivers who helped in his recovery.
