Raise your hand if you're ready for SPRING! <Raises Hand>

We are still a few weeks away from the official start of Spring, but I decided we needed to have an unofficial start today for our weekly "Nailed It Or Failed It" segment on WQAD News 8 at 11am.

This week is all about flowers - how to paint them, cut them, and do a super cool science experiment with them.

First, we painted flowers using... celery. Yep. Celery. It's a neat trick that I found here. Second, we cut out flowers using scissors and at the end - you guessed it - a glue gun. I found this one one of my favorite pages on Facebook here. Click the video above to see if both crafts worked!

Third, we started a science experiment that's going to take a couple weeks - just like our avocado experiment from last week. I really, really hope this one works, because it would just be so cool if it does! Click the video below to see how we set it up AND learn about our special guest for COCKTAIL OF THE WEEK!
