With a Winter Storm Warning in effect, several cities have declared snow emergencies. Find a running list below.
IOWA:
Here is the text of the snow emergency announcement from the City of Davenport:
The City of Davenport will declare a snow emergency starting at 12 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29 based on predicted conditions in the afternoon. The snow emergency will run through 8 a.m. Saturday.
Parking on Posted Snow Routes during a Snow Emergency is prohibited. Vehicles parked on Posted Snow Routes during an active Snow Emergency will be ticketed and towed. As an alternative, residents and visitors to the Downtown can park for free in any of the City’s three parking ramps beginning at 12 p.m. Friday through 8 a.m., Saturday.
Residents are advised to park off-street when possible on all other roads. Parking off-street helps crews clear roads more safely and efficiently. Drivers are advised to increase following distance and slow down as slick spots may develop. Do not expect to drive as you would under normal weather conditions.
Today, crews will continue plowing and salting posted snow routes until the current snow event ends this evening.

Here is the text of the snow emergency announcement from the City of Muscatine:
There is hereby declared a snow emergency, effective 12:00 noon, Friday, December 29, and shall remain in effect until further notice.

Here is the text of the snow emergency announcement from the City of Blue Grass:
The Mayor of Blue Grass has declared a "winter weather emergency" effective from 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 29, 2017 thru Saturday, December 30, 2017 12:00 p.m. The City's Public Safety Building, 606 West Mayne Street, Blue Grass, Iowa, will be open to the public in need.
The City asks that vehicles NOT be parked on City Streets to allow emergency vehicles and snow plows to have full access.

ILLINOIS:
Here is the text of the snow emergency announcement from the City of Moline:
Mayor Acri has declared a Snow Emergency for the City of Moline effective immediately. Parking is not allowed on designated snow routes. Information on those routes can be found on the City’s website. All residents are encouraged to park off the City streets if possible to ensure the safest and most efficient snow removal operations.
Here is the text of the snow emergency announcement from the City of Rock Island:
The City of Rock Island is declaring a snow emergency effective at 12 PM, Friday, December 29, 2017. Once snow depth has reached 2 inches, parking is not allowed on any marked snow routes until the snow has been cleared. Vehicles parked on marked snow routes may receive a $35 parking ticket. Vehicles that remain in violation may be impounded.
To facilitate snow removal the City is requesting that Rock Island residents not park on
residential streets until snow removal is completed. Beginning at 3:00 AM, Saturday, December 30, 2017, there will be no on-street parking allowed in the downtown business area (15th Street to 23rd Street, 1st Avenue to 5th Avenue) due to snow
removal operations.
There will be free parking in un-reserved spaces in City Lot C (1st Avenue at 20th Street), Lot F (18th Street at 2nd Avenue), Lot A (2nd Avenue west of Bennigan’s), and the Parking Ramp (17th Street and 3rd Avenue).

The Village of Coal Valley is declaring a snow emergency starting today at noon and ending on noon Saturday, December 30. Village staff asks that if at all possible, you not park on the street, so that the plows can remove as much snow as possible.

The City of Durant has issued a snow emergency from 4PM to 10PM today. All vehicles need to be removed from city streets.
Here is the text of the snow emergency announcement from the City of Rock Falls:
The City of Rock Falls, Illinois is has issued a “Snow Emergency” beginning at 7:00 pm and lasting until 12:00 Noon on December 30th, 2017. Rock Falls Municipal Code Section 18-1580 Snow emergency parking, and Section 18-159 Downtown business area parking during snow emergency will be in effect.
After two inches of snow, the designated snow routes will have to have all vehicles removed. Odd - even calendar parking will be in effect on all other roads until the snow is cleared. No parking shall be permitted in the downtown area after 2:00am and before 6:00am.
Here is the text of the snow emergency announcement from the City of Sterling:
After that time, all vehicles must be parked in accordance with the City of Sterling’s Snow Emergency Parking Regulations.
- No parking on Snow Routes until all snow has been removed from the full width of the street.
2. No parking in the Central Business District and in city parking lots from 1:30 A.M. to 5:30 A.M.
- Odd and even parking restrictions will be in effect on all other City Streets. On the odd days of the month, you park on the odd-numbered side of the street; and on even days of the month, you park on the even-numbered side of the street. Odd and even days will be considered as beginning between 6:00A.M. and 8:00 A.M. You will not be ticketed between 6:00A.M. and 8:00 A.M. Odd and even numbered sides of the street refer to the usual residence and building address numbers.
These parking restrictions will terminate block by block after the snowfall stops and when all accumulated snow has been removed from the full width of the street or when the snow emergency is cancelled by the City.
All other parking restrictions remain in effect. No parking will be permitted on streets where parking is restricted or prohibited.
