Thanksgiving = Food. Trust me, I know that. I've been planning our menu for weeks and frankly, I'm exhausted from looking at recipes and making sure I don't forget to buy something simple - like sugar. I did this last year and guess who was at the grocery store at 11:30pm on Thanksgiving Night? This girl.

This week on our weekly Nailed It Or Failed It Segment on WQAD News 8 at 11am, I wanted to focus on fun instead of food. So, I had Jon and Eric help me with three activities:

The first thing we did was make these Paper Plate Turkey Hats from the blog, Honey & Lime. How cute are these for any kiddos celebrating Thanksgiving at your house? This is a fun activity for them to keep busy with while you're busy in the kitchen. All you need is paper plates, construction paper, googly eyes, and ribbon. Click the video above to see how ours turned out!

The second and third activities are two fun games with feathers. I found these on a long list of hilarious games put together by the blog, Play Party Plan. Click the video below to see Jon and Eric try "Feather Float" and my personal favorite - "Shake Your Tail Feathers"!

Finally, we ended this week's segment with something for the adults - a Cranberry Moscow Mule from the blog, Blackberry Babe. These are so easy to make and you can make a big pitcher of them for your Thanksgiving guests (over the age of 21)!

We hope you have a happy Thanksgiving! Gobble gobble!
