Vets get opportunity to adopt pet for free on Veteran’s Day

Illinois veterans have the opportunity to adopt a pet at no cost.

Veterans Day, November 11th, 2017, will be the first "Pets for Vets" Day in the state.

The program allows any military veteran to visit several designated animal shelters and adopt a cat or dog for free.
