Crowds gather in Makanda, Illinois to view Solar Eclipse along path of totality

MAKANDA, Illinois — WQAD’s Denise Hnytka was live in Makanda to cover the Solar Eclipse in an area along the path of totality.

People from all over the country have been anxiously awaiting this day for months, but the residents of Makanda, a small Illinois town of 600 people, have been planning for this day for years.
