UPDATE: Two cars involved in serious crash

Crews cleaned up a car crash early Monday morning, August 14.

UPDATE as of 7:30am on Monday, August 14th - Davenport Police say one of the two vehicles involved in a crash early Monday, August 14th struck a house.

According to a Press Release, "A vehicle was southbound on Division Street in the far west lane when it was struck on the right side by a vehicle that was eastbound on West 9th Street when it failed to stop for the stop sign and struck the southbound vehicle.  After the crash, both units continued in an easterly direction before coming to rest.  The eastbound vehicle came to rest against the house at 1727 West 9th Street.  The house did not suffer significant damage and the injuries are not life threatening."

The driver of the eastbound vehicle was cited for Stop Sign and No Insurance.

EARLIER STORY - Crews cleaned up a car crash early Monday morning, August 14.

It happened just before 2 a.m. at the corner of West 9th Street and Division, just down the hill from the Putnam Museum.

Our photographer on scene says there were two cars involved, the second was towed away by the time she arrived on scene. There was also damage to a house.

Police have not released any information on the crash or if anyone was hurt.
