BETTENDORF -- It's been decades in the making, and it's been on the to-do list since 2013.
A new Interstate 74 bridge.
A groundbreaking was held Monday, June 26th, 2017 at Leach Park in Bettendorf. Construction is set to begin next month. The current bridge will remain in place until the new one is completed over the next four years.
Both Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner will be in attendance.
