Blocked roadway near Rock Island High School reopens

ROCK ISLAND — A street in front of Rock Island High School was partially blocked off as emergency vehicles were on scene.

Eastbound 25th Avenue from 15th Street to 17th Street was blocked off Thursday morning, March 2, 2017.

Shortly before 11 a.m., officials at Rock Island High School confirmed that the roadway was cleared and emergency crews were no longer on scene. It was not clear what time the roadway reopened.

An ambulance had been on scene but left before 8:45 a.m. Rock Island Police remained on scene as of 9 a.m.
