Body pulled from river identified as second missing Clinton boater

LECLAIRE, Iowa — Police have identified a body pulled from the Mississippi River as missing Clinton boater Keegan Rasmussen, 22.

Emergency responders were out at Lock & Dam 14 Friday afternoon, February 17, 2017 after receiving a tip.

Weeks earlier, on February 1, a body was pulled from the Mississippi River near the Rock Island Arsenal’s hydroelectric dam.  The Clinton Police Department identified the body as missing boater, 22-year-old Tyler Steeg.

Steeg and Rasmussen had been out boating in November of 2016 when they were reported missing. Their boat was recovered from  a barge docking area near the 1500 block of S. Second Street in Clinton.
