Arconic eagles lay first egg of the season

Bettendorf, IA -- Arconic eagles, Liberty and Justice, laid their first egg of the season this afternoon. In the past few days, the eagles have added new bedding material to the nest. They've also been spending more time in the nest.

Normally, bald eagles in this area of the country will lay eggs in mid to late February. The eaglet is expected to hatch in late March.
