Northwest winds in excess of 25 mph will allow wind chill values to dip as cold as -35° early Sunday. At that level, skin freezes in just 10 minutes. If you must venture out, wear multiple layers, have a fully-charged cell phone, and tell someone when you’re heading out and where-to. Rural locations will also have blowing and drifting snow, especially early in the day.

This is dangerous stuff! Your life could depend on the actions you take before you venture out. It’s best to just stay in if you can. If you can’t, dress in layers, have a back-up clothes and blankets in your car, have a fully-charged cell phone, and communicate when you’re heading out and when you expect to reach your destination.

Wind chills will rise to -15 during the day on Sunday before plummeting back to -25 for early Monday morning.
