DAVENPORT, Iowa--  Entrepreneurs and independent employees looking for a place to work can now go to COWORKQC.

The organization formerly called The Creative Collective will officially open their doors Thursday, December 15, at 102 E. 2nd street in Davenport.

The idea is to  create a professional working environment for people who do not have their own office space.

Currently the organization offers both private and public office space to rent as well as an open area to host meetings and other events.

"Through word of mouth and social media...a lot of people have been finding out about us and we have a few bloggers and writers and they're bringing their contacts here," says Amy Sivertsen, co-owner of COWORKQC.

The ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for 4 pm at the new space.
