MOLINE, Illinois — Local military families are getting some help this holiday season. On Friday, Dec. 16, representatives from the Rock Island Arsenal picked up donated toys collected during Operation Toy Soldier.

The toys will be given to children of active and reserve military members. Parents say they're grateful for the extra help ahead of Christmas.

Nearly 550 toys were donated to this year's drive.
