WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) — Authorities have arrested two people in connection with an eastern Iowa shooting that injured a child.
Aundrey Frequal Roberts Jr., 23, and Mar’yo Doyuan Lindsey, 21, face charges of willful injury and intimidation with a weapon, the Courier reports. Lindsey faces additional weapons charges.
Authorities say 9-year-old Anton Kincaid was shot in the hip area. He was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive. Police say the boy was lying on a couch inside the apartment when he was shot.
Neighbors reported seeing a number of people in dark clothing running from the area after the gunshots, and police say they found 9 mm and .40-caliber shell casings on the porch.
Online court records did not list an attorney for the men.
