MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (AP) — A 55-year-old Marshalltown man has been arrested and charged with sexually abusing a girl younger than 10.
Marshalltown police began an investigation on Dec. 1 into a complaint of possible sexual abuse involving an adult male and a young girl, the Times-Republican reports.
The suspect, Jack Lee Bown, was arrested Thursday, Dec. 15, and has been charged with second-degree sexual abuse and indecent contact with a child.
He was being held in the Marshall County Jail. His initial court appearance has been set for Friday morning.
