DAVENPORT — Eric N. Hans, 46, was sentenced Tuesday to 24 years in federal prison for production of child pornography.
Hans, who is from Davenport, will also be required to serve 10 years of supervised release following completion of his sentence and will be required to register as a sex offender. His sentence was handed down in federal court in Davenport.
According to court records, Hans pleaded guilty to using his cellular phone to produce child pornography by taking multiple pictures of a 12-year-old child. Court records also state that police seized a key fob camera and several computers from Hans which contained about 80 images of child pornography, including several photos of the 12-year-old victim.
The case was investigated by the Davenport Police Department and the Child Protection Response Center.
