IOWA CITY, Iowa — I-80 eastbound and westbound are both reopened near Iowa City after two crashes on Saturday, Dec. 10, reports the Iowa DOT.
I-80 was closed briefly between Exit 244: Dubuque Street and Exit 242: 1st Avenue (Iowa City), and also between Exit 64: County Road N28 and Exit 70: IA 148; County Road F58 (3 miles east of the Brayton area).
Both lanes have reopened as of 4 p.m. Saturday, reports the Iowa DOT. The crashes caused lane backups.
Snow is expected to continue throughout the evening Saturday and into Sunday morning.
