Plane removed from runway after engine fails at QC airport

MOLINE, Illinois — An airplane at the Quad City International Airport reported an engine failure during a landing.

There were two people on board the Cessna Centurion with the failure was reported around 11:40 a.m., Friday, December 9, 2016, according to a statement from spokesperson from the airport.

“The aircraft was able to land straight ahead and remain on the runway without damage or injury to personnel,”the statement said.

There were no other issues reported. The aircraft was removed from the runway.
