DAVENPORT, Iowa--- For over a month, people all over the Quad Cities have been getting together gently used business suits and donating them to the Farmers Insurance Office in Moline.

Now dozens of suites are expected to be passed out to veterans looking to enter the work force at the American Legion post 26 in Davenport, Thursday, December 1.

The Suites for Soldiers project is a part of a company wide effort hosted by Farmers Insurance. Last year the company collected about 800 suits and have since expanded to the Quad Cities.

" That's where it really ends up is the generosity of the community and everybody wants to be a part of something. When it's the veterans you know and they can make a difference," says Ken Himebaugh from the Farmers Insurance office in Moline.

Distribution at the American Legion Post 26 starts at 1 pm and continues until 7 pm.
