Burlington shooting suspect ‘armed and dangerous’

UPDATE: Alfred Buford turned himself into to the Des Mes County Correctional Center around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, and is no longer wanted by authorities


BURLINGTON, Iowa — Police are on the search for Alfred Buford, 20, who is wanted for attempted murder.

Burlington police say they found Donald Hunt, 27, at the scene of a shooting in the 2100 block of Williams Street around 11:15 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 21. Hunt had been shot in the lower body and was treated at Great River Medical Center.

Buford should be considered armed and dangerous, say police. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
