Two men shot in Davenport overnight, incidents possibly related

DAVENPORT, Iowa — Two men were shot in the early hours of Saturday, Nov. 26, and are receiving treatment.

Police were called out to the 1600 block of West Third Street around 2:45 a.m. for shots fired. An adult man was taken to a local hospital, then transferred to an Iowa City hospital. He suffered non life threatening injuries, police say.

The man told police that he was robbed by three subjects and was shot during the robbery.

A second adult man was treated at a local hospital for a gunshot wound around 4:20 a.m. and the preliminary investigation shows the two shootings may be related. The second man also suffered non life threatening injuries.

The shootings are still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Davenport Police Department at 563-326-6125.
